YOUth Making It Happen

YOUth Making It Happen is your opportunity to have a say on youth centred projects that will be delivered in your local area.

YOUth Making It Happen has been co-designed and led by a youth panel who have made key decisions about how the process will work.  In any PB process people must carefully consider the ideas and projects put forward and decide which they want to support and see delivered in their area.  A minimum number of projects or ideas must be received for any PB process to be viable and to ensure that those participating have a genuine decision to take.  For YOUth Making it Happen it was agreed that a minimum of 3 projects or ideas must be received from each area so that young people can prioritise and vote for the three projects or ideas they want to see delivered in their area.

Over the last number of weeks young people from across the City and District have put forward their proposals for projects that will make a difference in their Local Areas.  The top 3 voted projects within each of the Local Areas will have the opportunity to avail of this funding, with a maximum of £1,000 available for individual projects.

Unfortunately, the minimum number of projects (3) was not received in the Sperrins and Ballyarnet Local Growth Areas.  Alternative methods on how this funding (£2,500) will be allocated to youth focused projects and initiatives in these area is being considered by the Local Area Growth Partnership Boards.

Now is your chance to have your say on which of these projects get delivered in your local area.  £2,500 is available within the Local Growth Areas (Derg, Faughan, Foyleside, Strabane, The Moor, Waterside) to deliver the successful projects.

We are now inviting young people aged between 12-25 yrs. old to vote for their favourite projects within their own Local Area.
